2015 trial date set for Strip shooting suspect

A 2015 trial date has been set for Benjamin Frazier, who is accused of fatally shooting one man and injuring two security officers at a nightclub inside Bally’s.

At a Wednesday morning hearing, District Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez set a Jan. 12, 2015, trial date for the defendant.

The shooting occurred at Drai’s After Hours nightclub and left Kenneth Brown dead. Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty in the case.

Frazier, 42, is awaiting trial at the Clark County Detention Center, where he is being held without bail.
