8-vehicle pileup snarls traffic on Interstate 15
An eight-vehicle pileup on northbound Interstate 15 near Charleston Boulevard sent six people to the hospital Saturday afternoon, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Trooper Loy Hixson said the accident was reported just after 1 p.m. and involved six passenger cars and two motorcycles.
Five adults and one child were transported to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, Hixson said.
Traffic was restricted to two lanes for more than four hours. The lanes have since been reopened.
