A man, a mystery and MGM Grand

A camera crew has been following a mystery man in a bad wig around the MGM Grand for a week.

Some of the hotel's 9,000 employees have their suspicions. They're getting a lot of hints to connect the dots to a reality show.

So far they've ruled out The Situation from "Jersey Shore."

The guy in the wig and glasses has been filming what appears to be on-the-job-training scenarios.

He's been in the casino, working the blackjack and roulette tables in uniform, at the front desk, working with security and hanging out with the staff at Studio 54.

The unkempt wig, which comes down to the top of his ears, isn't fooling anyone, according to one spy.

"A tourist walked by and said, 'nice rug,' " an employee said Thursday.

Someone overheard that the guy in disguise is staying at a nearby Super 8.

If the MGM Grand sports book were taking bets, smart money would be on Scott Sibella, the new president and COO of MGM Grand.

And the show?

Bet the mortgage, if you still have one, on CBS' hit show "Undercover Boss," which airs at 9 p.m. on Sundays (KLAS-TV, Channel 8).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALICE CLOS

Alice Clos, who just hit the big 1-0-1, knows how to live.

She celebrated her birthday Thursday at the Prestige Assisted Living at Mira Loma in Henderson with a joy ride and boy toys from the Chippendales.

Gaudin Porsche of Las Vegas dispatched a Porsche 911 Cabriolet to take her for a top-down ride.

Also boosting her pulse rate: Chippendale dancers Lind Walter and Johnny De Beer.

THE SCENE AND HEARD

Rubber-faced comedian Charlie Callas, a favorite of Johnny Carson and Frank Sinatra, died Thursday at a care center in Las Vegas. Callas, known for his zany facial expressions, was Carson's guest dozens of times and often roasted Sinatra. Callas was 86.

SIGHTINGS

Tiger Woods' ex-mistress Rachel Uchitel, spotted at The Cosmopolitan on Thursday night. … Andre Agassi, touring Three Square Food Bank on Thursday with president and CEO Julie Murray. Agassi Prep has been involved with Three Square since 2008. … Actor Jason Statham, arriving at Planet Hollywood Resort in a 1970 Jaguar on Wednesday for the Las Vegas premiere of "The Mechanic." … On the red carpet, "Peepshow" star Holly Madison made her debut as a correspondent for "Extra." ... Monte Carlo headliner Frank Caliendo, making a guest appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Wednesday. By coincidence, I happened to be in the audience, and Caliendo knocked it out of the park with his Leno impressions. Nobody's done a better job of nailing Leno's persona, and dozens of others, for that matter. "I was pretty stressed during makeup," he said. "The chin went on a little crooked so the makeup artist had to pull a piece out and put some cotton balls in. We only had 15 minutes." His Monte Carlo show, which was to end its 15-month run March 12, has been extended through April 30. He will do Super Bowl picks as two of his characters. ... Comedian Gilbert Gottfried, dining with his wife on Tuesday at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris.
