Accidents tie up traffic on 215 Beltway

Two crashes tied up traffic on the 215 Beltway Saturday afternoon.

The first accident occurred about 4:30 p.m. when a motorcycle collided with another vehicle in the eastbound lanes of the beltway, near the northbound ramp for Interstate 15. The motorcyclist was taken to University Medical Center. Nevada Highway Patrol said the man’s injuries did not seem life-threatening.

The second crash involving five vehicles occurred shortly after the first accident, the Highway Patrol said. The vehicles were on the shoulder just west of the other collision on the beltway.

No one in the second wreck was hospitalized, according to the Highway Patrol.
