An NBA champion makes an appearance

Leon Powe of the NBA champion Boston Celtics is in the house.

He prepared himself for last season by playing in the 2007 Vegas Summer League, where he was the Celtics' leading scorer with nearly 13 points per game. Powe was busy signing autographs for a large group of children, but did have a brief comment on what it was like to play in Las Vegas last year.

"The experience (in Las Vegas) was fun," he said. "It gets you prepared for what it's going to be like (in the NBA). It gets you prepared mentally, too."
