Argument in Krolicki case is disputed

CARSON CITY -- The attorney general's office opposes efforts by lawyers for Lt. Gov. Bryan Krolicki to have felony charges of mishandling funds dismissed on grounds the case was improperly filed in Las Vegas instead of Northern Nevada.

Chief Deputy Attorney General Conrad Hafen, in documents filed in Clark County District Court, said the charges stemming from Krolicki's previous service as state treasurer, should stand and the case should remain in Las Vegas.
