Arizona girls injured when bounce house blows away

A gust of wind picked up a bounce house with two girls playing inside Saturday, dumping one girl in the yard but carrying the other two houses away and dropping her onto a roof.

The incident in the town of Marana left a 10-year-old with serious head lacerations and other injuries. She was taken to a trauma center in Tucson after firefighters got her off the roof.

Northwest Fire District spokesman Adam Goldberg said the two girls were at a birthday party when what family members called "a microburst" picked up the bounce house.

The 10-year-old was carried more than 100 feet before falling out onto the house. Her 7-year-old friend had minor injuries.
