Body found in Arizona confirmed as missing Las Vegas woman

The body of a Las Vegas woman who may have been strangled by her roommate was positively identified Thursday as Sheila Harrick Linke by the Mohave County coroner in Arizona.

Linke’s body was been found outside of White Hills, Ariz., 30 miles south of Hoover Dam.

Linke, 53, was last seen on Jan. 26 at her residence in the 5400 block of Island Breeze Court, near Jones Boulevard and Ann Road.

Police arrested Edward Noorman Kopp, 52, in connection with her death. According to police, Kopp on Feb. 18 confessed to police that he killed Linke after she tried to evict him and his girlfriend, Kathy Atteberry. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a murder charge.

Linke met Atteberry through her job at the Clark County Water Reclamation District.

The Mohave County coroner’s office said the cause of death was strangulation and blunt force trauma to the head.

The body was found on Feb. 19, police said.
