Britney-LV buzz hard to nail down
The Internet continues to buzz with reports that Britney Spears will be making a Las Vegas appearance in late December.
Babble.com, a new parents Web site with a thin portfolio in the breaking-news department, reported Monday she will perform "a special show" at Mandalay Bay but not part of her upcoming "Circus" tour. No attribution was cited.
MGM Mirage publicist Stephanie Heller responded Tuesday in an e-mail that no show is scheduled for Mandalay Bay.
The Web site said Spears' first tour in four years will start in May. We've heard that the launch will be the third week of April and that Las Vegas will be included in the tour.
Her new album, titled "Circus," comes out Tuesday, her 27th birthday.
