California uses ‘shade balls’ to combat drought — VIDEO
Scientists in California have released 96,000,000 "shade balls" into reservoirs to help with the state's ongoing drought.
The shade balls will decrease evaporation and preserve California's scarce water supply.
At $0.36 per ball, the innovative and cost-effective method is expected to preserve 300 million gallons of water each year.
