March 11, 2009 - 7:08 am
Chef Jean Joho, who has a restaurant in Chicago named Everest and his Las Vegas eatery is 11 stories above the famous Strip, takes cookbooks to new height in “The Eiffel Tower Restaurant Cookbook.” Check out the red velvet cover embossed with a silver Eiffel Tower. Inside, recipes for 50 dishes of moderized French classics and a Vegas-centric intro on every page. Joho, who grew up in France's Alsace region, famous for its incredible gastronomy, was a boy wonder in the kitchen. At age 13, he was dispatched to L'Auberge de L'Ill, France's oldest three-star, to apprentice for the famed Haeberlin family. (Photo courtesy Eiffel Tower Restaurant)
