Climber injured in fall at Red Rock Canyon

A climber was hurt Friday morning after falling at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

Las Vegas police said the person fell about 30 feet and had a head injury. The climber, who was not immediately identified, appeared to be about 50 years old, police said.

The person was breathing and conscious after the accident, which happened just before 11 a.m.

The person’s condition was not immediately known.
