The city of Henderson will host its 10th annual Bark in the Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the new Cornerstone Park, 1600 Wigwam Parkway.
Admission is free for all ages. All dogs must be leashed and under the control of a handler who is at least 10, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
The move to Cornerstone Park is in recognition of the event’s 10-year anniversary. About 3,500 people and hundreds of dogs are expected to attend.
A grand opening celebration for the park is expected, but has not yet been scheduled.
Bark in the Park will feature contests, vendor booths, entertainment and demonstrations by the Henderson Police Department K-9 Unit and Atomic Dogs. Pet adoptions also will be available on site.
