Durango High School students protest budget cuts
Durango High School students protested before school Friday in response to recent cuts made to programs throughout the Clark County School District.
Among programs cut at the southwest Las Vegas school, 7100 W. Dewey Drive, is drama, which held its final performance of the year, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” on April 3.
Block scheduling also has been cut from several schools, which will result in shuffling of teachers and other employees, according to school district officials.
