Farmer finds 100-million-year-old sea beast on his property — VIDEO

An Australian farmer found a 100-million-year-old sea monster in his own backyard.

Robert Hacon discovered the fossilized jaw of the beast called “Kronosaurus” in the dirt while walking around his property, CNN reports.

“I saw something shining about 20 meters away, kicked a few stones around and looked a little bit further, and then I thought ‘Oh my God, I have come across something here,’” Hacon told ABC Brisbane.

Scientists have confirmed that the water-dwelling Kronosaurus, named after the Greek Titan Kronus, could grow up to 36 feet long, and lived on a steady diet of squid, sharks and sea turtles.

“Hacon contacted Dr. Timothy Holland of the Kronosaurus Korner Fossil Museum in Richmond, Australia,” CNN reports.

Hacon called the ancient discovery “the find of a lifetime.”
