Fire damages apartment; no injuries reported

The Clark County Fire Department is investigating an apartment fire that occurred Wednesday morning near West Flamingo Road and South Tenaya Way.

Fire officials responded to the small apartment fire just after 5 a.m., according to Metro’s Lt. David Gordon. Sixteen apartments were evacuated. All residents have since returned to their apartments, except the unit where the fire originated.

No injuries were reported. An estimated amount of damage was not immediately available. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
