Henderson scores huge knockout

The star of the UFC 100 show to this point is Dan Henderson, who threw a right-handed bomb that knocked out England’s Michael Bisping in the second round.

Henderson’s right connected squarely on the left side of Bisping’s jaw and he dropped instantly. It was obvious Bisping was out, but Henderson pounced on him and threw another right to Bisping’s face. The crowd went wild as Henderson celebrated his middleweight bout win by jumping on top of the cage.

The two traded words all week. Henderson said his last punch was thrown with bad intentions. “I think that one was just to shut him up a little bit,” Henderson said.

Bisping was on his back for about two minutes. As he walked out of the octagon, he saw Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and said, “What happened?” The atmosphere is electric now. This is what makes the UFC so popular, brutal knockouts and fired-up fans.

Ex-Playboy model holds the cards

A new ring card girl debuted for the pay-per-view main card, and you might have heard of her. It’s Holly Madison, a former Playboy model and the ex-girlfriend of Hugh Hefner.

Here are some facts on Madison, courtesy of Wikipedia: Her full name is Holly Madison Cullen. She attended Portland State University for two years as a double-major in theatre and psychology. In 1999, Madison moved to Los Angeles to attend Loyola Marymount. To afford college tuition, she competed to become a Hawaiian Tropic model and worked at Hooters. After being noticed, she began to receive invitations to the Playboy Mansion. She became one of Hefner's seven official girlfriends in August 2001. In February 2002, after all but two of his girlfriends left, Madison became Hef's "No. 1 Girl" and moved into his bedroom at the mansion. Madison has spoken openly about her plastic surgery, having had a rhinoplasty (nose job) and breast augmentation, going from a size A-cup breast to a D-cup. As anticipated, there are countless beautiful women in attendance tonight at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Madison might not rank in the top 25, to be honest.

We have spotted only one other celebrity at this point — former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan — but we’ll keep scanning the crowd.

Akiyama wins split decision

Japan’s Yoshihiro Akiyama walked into the arena to the strangest music, something that sounded like a French love song and almost put the fans to sleep. But Akiyama proved to be a fighter, not a lover. He defeated Alan Belcher by split decision. Akiyama was a minus-250 favorite.
