I-15 in California reopens after snow closure
December 30, 2010 - 7:17 am
Interstate 15 heading into Las Vegas from California has reopened, but expect major delays during the morning commute, officials said Thursday.
Southbound lanes of the highway at Cima Road in California, near Halloran Springs, were closed about 1:30 a.m., but reopened about 7:15 a.m., officials said. Northbound traffic near Baker had been closed by the California Highway Patrol about 11 p.m. Wednesday night, and reopened about 7 a.m.
Officials said ice and snow was a factor. Both lanes were extremely congested.
