IN BRIEF
REALIGNMENT PROJECT
Harmon Avenue traffic halted at the Strip
As if the congestion from construction on east-west thoroughfares across Las Vegas Boulevard wasn't enough, now motorist will lose Harmon Avenue all together.
Clark County officials closed Harmon at the Strip to work on the realignment project, which is expected to be completed in November.
Pedestrians also will be inconvenienced by the work. Crosswalks on Harmon across the Strip will be shut down during the construction phase.
Harmon between Koval Lane and Planet Hollywood Way will remain open for business access only. Other motorists on Harmon will be directed to make a U-turn before reaching Las Vegas Boulevard.
When the roadway is finished, Harmon will be six lanes between Polaris Avenue and Audrie Street. The realignment project is across from the City Center project.
