Woman, 48, arrested in roommate's death
A 48-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday in connection with the stabbing death of her 59-year-old male roommate, police said.
The name of the deceased man was not released.
Beverly Boykins was booked without bail into the Clark County Detention Center for murder with a deadly weapon.
Detectives determined the victim was stabbed during a domestic dispute.
Police said they were called to the Siegel Suites at 600 E. Bonanza Road about 3:47 a.m. Upon arrival, police discovered the deceased man. They did not specify what the relationship was between Boykins and her roommate.

Sect leader sentenced in molestation case
The leader of a small religious sect was sentenced Tuesday in Las Vegas, N.M., to 10 years in prison for sexual misconduct with two teenage female followers.
Wayne Bent, 67, who claimed the encounters were spiritual, not sexual, was convicted this month of criminal sexual contact with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Judge Gerald Baca imposed a sentence of 18 years but suspended eight years.
Bent, who calls himself Michael Travesser, is the leader of The Lord Our Righteousness Church. Its followers live in a compound called Strong City in northeastern New Mexico.
Bent's lawyer, Sarah Montoya, said she would appeal his convictions.
