Las Vegas Desert Rats return from Afghanistan

After a taxing nine-month combat tour in Afghanistan, some the Army Reserve's Delta Company, 405th Civil Affairs Battalion, known as the Las Vegas Desert Rats, were able to return home to their familes who met them at McCarran International Airport. During their tour of duty, the unit saw 320 indirect fire and firefight incidents and were awarded five Purple Hearts and 18 Army Commendation Medals.
