Las Vegas man, 42, dies day after car collides with RTA bus, water main
A 42-year-old Las Vegas man died after he was involved in a vehicle accident Friday night at Gibson Road and Wigwam Parkway, Henderson Police said.
John Balkus was driving a 1997 Pontiac Firebird south on Gibson when he struck a Regional Transportation Authority bus that had stopped at a railroad crossing, police said.
Balkus lost control of his car after he hit the bus and a water main, police said.
Authorities took him to a local hospital but he died on Saturday.
The accident remains under investigation.
