Las Vegas man gunned down at home

A man was gunned down in the doorway of his northwest Las Vegas home Friday night.

Las Vegas police Lt. Lew Roberts said police were called out to the home, at 5504 Reiter Ave., near Smoke Ranch Road and Jones Boulevard, at 6:57 p.m. after a report of shots being fired.

Police arrived to find the man, whose name was not released, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Roberts said a witness saw two men wearing dark clothing and blue bandanas fleeing the scene.

The motive for the slaying was unknown.

Roberts said the home did not appear to have been burglarized.
