Las Vegas man killed in North Dakota rollover

BERTHOLD, N.D. — A 51-year-old Las Vegas man died in a rollover wreck west of Berthold, N.D., according to North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The patrol said Douglas Moore was a passenger in a pickup heading west from Minot to Stanley on U.S. Highway 2 Friday when the truck’s driver lost control on the frost-covered roadway. Moore, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the truck and killed.

The driver of the truck, 23-year-old Eric Flores, of Minot, was not injured.

Flores told troopers that he was driving about 55 mph in the left lane and remembers sliding off the roadway and losing control of the vehicle. The vehicle entered the center median and overturned.

The crash remained under investigation.
