Las Vegas police seek robbery suspect

Las Vegas police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they said was responsible for several robberies in the valley.

The man should be considered armed and dangerous, police said, but they would not release any information about the crimes except the man’s description.

Police records indicate the man may be connected to a 911 call about a kidnapping at the MGM Grand about 7:30 a.m. Thursday, but a police spokesman said giving the public further details would compromise the investigation.

While police would not elaborate on the robberies, they released pictures of the man in what appears to be a convenience store.

Police described him as a Hispanic man between the ages of 25 and 30 with black hair and brown eyes standing about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a long sleeve dark blue shirt, a black vest, black dress pants and black dress shoes.

Anyone with information can call Metro robbery detectives at 702-828-3592. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or www.crimestoppersofnv.com. Tips directly leading to an arrest or an indictment processed through Crime Stoppers may result in a cash reward.
