Las Vegas police seek suspect in purse snatching

Las Vegas police were looking for a purse snatcher who robbed a woman earlier this month in the southern end of the valley.

The robber ran up behind the woman about midnight Jan. 5 as she returned home and entered her garage near St. Rose Parkway and Bermuda Road. He grabbed her purse and dragged her across the driveway before she let go, police said.

The robber was in his mid-20s, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and 170 to 195 pounds. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark shorts, white shocks and white-and-black shoes.
