Man in critical condition after crashing motorcycle in Las Vegas

A man was left in critical condition after his motorcycle was struck by a vehicle making a yield-on-green turn at Oakey and Dacatur boulevards Friday night.

Las Vegas police said Joshua Howard had been traveling on Oakey on a 2002 Triumph Triple Speed about 7:30 p.m. when a 1999 Cadillac Eldorado, driven by 71-year-old Jerry Simpson, turned left on a solid green light into Howard’s path.

Howard, 42, was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries. Simpson remained at the scene.

Las Vegas police were investigating the crash.
