Man killed in motorcycle crash on U.S. Highway 93 identified

A motorcyclist who died Thursday night after colliding with a truck pulling a horse trailer was identified Monday by the Clark County coroner's office as 41-year-old David Short of Filer, Idaho.

The Nevada Highway Patrol said the collision occurred shortly after 9 p.m. near mile marker 68 on U.S. Highway 93, 15 miles north of Las Vegas.

Short, who was on southbound U.S. 93, attempted to pass the car traveling ahead of him and collided with the truck, which was traveling north.
