TUCSON, Ariz. - A federal court judge on Monday sentenced a Las Vegas man to 15 years in prison for transporting a girl from Arizona to Nevada intending to have sex with her.
Keith Deshawn Anderson, 39, brought the girl from Arizona to Nevada multiple times in 2011 and 2012, according to the U.S. attorney’s office in Arizona. Anderson was convicted in November on four counts of transporting a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.
The FBI and Sierra Vista Police Department investigated the case, which was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, the Department of Justice’s nationwide initiative launched in 2006 to locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children.
