Man shot, killed near downtown Las Vegas identified

The Clark County Coroner’s office identified the man killed Tuesday morning in an apartment shooting near downtown Las Vegas.

Damon Walker, 37, died from gunshot wounds to the jaw and neck, according to the coroner’s office. His death was ruled a homicide.

Las Vegas police were investigating the shooting, which happened about 6 a.m. on Bonanza Road near Martin Luther King Boulevard.
