Man sought in kidnapping, slaying

Authorities are searching for a 55-year-old Ethiopian man in connection with the kidnapping and slaying of a local businessman.

Las Vegas police allege that Abebe Tefera Goshu killed 33-year-old William Kenyatta "Kenya" Jones of Las Vegas.

Relatives reported Jones missing on Sept. 26. Authorities found his body two days later inside a house at 4844 Celsion Rock St., near Washburn Road and 5th Street, in North Las Vegas. Goshu owns the house, according to county records.

Jones, a graduate of Clark High School, owned 702 Motors, a car dealership on Losee Road near Carey Avenue, according to his obituary published on Oct. 7.

Jones also was described as a gifted bass player and a father of three.

Goshu is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds, police said. He was last known to be driving a silver four-door 2002 Toyota Tundra pickup bearing Nevada dealer's plate DLR54650.

Anyone with information about Goshu's whereabouts can contact police at 828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
