Metro investigates central valley homicide
January 12, 2015 - 9:48 pm
A man was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound in a central valley apartment, Las Vegas police said.
Metro supervisor Lt. W. Graham said the incident occurred about 6:45 p.m. Monday night near H Street and Jackson Avenue.
Lt. Ray Steiber said police received calls about gunfire, and responding officers found a 40-year-old black man dead in the residence.
Steiber said investigators have not discovered what prompted the shooting and no suspects had been identified.
Two men and a woman were seen leaving the residence, as were two vehicles, one light-colored and one dark-colored. Police do not know what, if any, involvement those individuals and vehicles have in the incident, Steiber said.
There may be a second person with gunshot wounds still at large, Steiber said.
The man’s identity will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office after his family has been notified.
