Michael Way to be closed near Vegas Drive

The north side of Michael Way near Vegas Drive will be closed until Feb. 19 as crews continue to install a sewer line across the intersection.

The south side of Michael will remain open for businesses and residences, and detours will be put in place to direct traffic to Jones Boulevard.

The project will alleviate the flood waters that run on Vegas Drive. The work will also include and upgrade to the main sewer line from Saylor Way to Valley Drive.

The city of Las Vegas began construction on the $15 million project in Jan. 2013. It is scheduled to be completed in July.
