The Mohave County sheriff’s office has identified the Dolan Springs, Arizona, man who was killed in a Monday motorcycle accident in his hometown.

Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Trish Carter said 59-year-old Marcus Alan Dansker was dead at the scene of the 5:36 a.m. crash on Pierce Ferry Road.

A 15-year-old female passenger was flown to a Las Vegas hospital for treatment of fractures and abrasions. Carter said investigators are checking whether Dansker was speeding and whether it caused him to miss a curve before the accident.

Neither Dansker nor the teen were wearing helmets.
