Motorcyclist killed in early morning accident in North Las Vegas

One 46-year-old man was arrested on DUI charges Saturday following a fatal car-motorcycle accident in North Las Vegas.

City police responded to the accident near Decatur Boulevard and Tropical Parkway around 3:30 a.m.

There they found a 67-year-old man in the roadway deceased, and Ronnie Bondoc.

The preliminary investigation showed that Bondoc was traveling north on Decatur in a Toyota sedan when he hit the back of the deceased man’s Yamaha motorcycle. Investigators said it didn’t look like Bondoc made any attempt to brake before his car hit the motorcycle.

Bondoc was booked into the Las Vegas city jail on charges of driving under the influence causing death, as well as failure to obey a traffic control device.

The victim’s identity will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office once his family has been notified.
