3 women arrested after Ariz. health club turns out to be prostitution house

Phoenix, AZ — Three Valley women have been arrested for their involvement in what police say appeared to be a health club, but was actually a house of prostitution.

Grace Hyecha Yeom, 53, Hanna Choe, 61, and Young Joo Chi, 58, were all arrested Wednesday and booked into jail on felony charges.

Police say they had received information that the Rose Garden Health Club near Seventh Street and Thomas Road was actually a house of prostitution, masquerading as a legitimate health club.

Police say that two undercover detectives posing as customers made deals with Yeom for sexual acts in exchange for money.

According to court documents, two customers that day also told police they had been given sex acts in exchange for money.

Bail for the three women was set at $5,000 each.

Chi and Choe have posted that bail and been released.

A judge ordered all three women to stay away from each other, not to leave the state and not return to their business.

The women, who are American citizens with dual citizenship overseas, are due back in court March 10.
