Human remains found at site of F-16 crash in Arizona

Human remains have been found at the crash site of an F-16 fighter jet in Arizona, military officials said.

The jet crashed Thursday morning near Bagdad.

The pilot is believed dead, said Brig. Gen. Scott Pleus of the 56th Fighter Wing, which the jet was assigned to. The 56th Fighter Wing is based at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Ariz.

Additional tests will be conducted on the remains to determine whether it's the pilot, the base said in a statement.

Both the F-16 and the pilot are from Taiwan. It's unclear how many people were aboard.

Luke Air Force Base is a major training facility for American and foreign troops.
