Law enforcement say man dead in Arizona crash suffered medical episode

A weekend traffic fatality was reported in the Colorado river community of Topock in northwest Arizona.

The Mohave County Sheriff's Office said 75-year-old James Michael Cocchiarella of St. Paul, Minn. suffered a medical episode when he drove his vehicle from Route 66 into the marsh near the Topock Marina about 10:20 a.m. Saturday.

Spokeswoman Trish Carter said the medical examiner determined that Cocchiarella died of natural causes at the scene. None of the passengers in the vehicle was injured.
