A Phoenix-based marijuana technology company bought the town of Nipton for $5 million with ambitious plans to turn its dusty, nearly deserted 80 acres into a pot-friendly resort destination just an hour outside Las Vegas. But the company announced earlier in March 2018 it has sold Nipton to Delta International Oil & Gas in a cash and stock deal worth about $7.7 million. (AP Photo/John Locher, File)
