After two convicted murderers escaped a high security prison Saturday, authorities in New York and Vermont are on the hunt. Richard Matt and David Sweat escaped with a complex plan many immediately called a “real life Shawshank Redemption.”
Police in the following days recieved hundreds of tips on the escapees’ whereabouts, and most recently tracked them down to an area three miles from Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York.
