Wife of Fox Lake officer indicted on 6 counts

An Illinois grand jury indicted Melodie Gliniewicz on six counts Wednesday for her alleged role in her late husband's stealing of charitable funds, the Fox Lake County Sheriff's Office said.

Melodie Gliniewicz, the wife of Fox Lake Police Lt. Joe Gliniewicz who committed suicide last year, was indicted on three Class 2 felony counts of disbursing charitable funds without authority and for personal benefit, one Class 3 felony count of disbursing charitable funds without authority and for personal benefit, one Class 2 felony count of money laundering, and one Class 3 count of money laundering.
