Devil Doll at The Mirage

She calls herself Devil Doll, and truth be told, Colleen Duffy has a little bit of Lucifer in her lungs.

Singing in a sultry snarl over a shifting backdrop of sax-fired jazz, a near honky-tonk shuffle, hip shakin' rockabilly and plenty of stiff-upper-lip punk fire and brimstone, Duffy's an old school femme fatale worthy of becoming Bettie Page's spiritual heir.

To paraphrase AC/DC, hell ain't always a bad place to be.

See Devil Doll at 10 p.m. Sunday at The Beatles Revolution Lounge at The Mirage, 3400 Las Vegas Blvd. South. Tickets are $10; call 692-8383.
