NEON TUESDAY

The Koffin Kats play Jillian's

They hate emo and love booze, and they sound like a bar fight come to life in your living room.

Detroit psychobilly wastrels the Koffin Kats come with all the scene prerequisites: big, rollicking basslines; songs about vampires; more tattoos than a prison cell block; and an unhealthy devotion to Pabst Blue Ribbon brew.

But they bash it all out with enough vigor and verve to flatten the pompadours of most of their peers.

See the band at 6 p.m. at Jillian's, 450 Fremont St. Tickets are $15; call 759-0450.
