Obama leaves Las Vegas, heads to Denver for debate

Air Force One has taken off from McCarran International Airport, ending President Barack Obama's three-day stay in Southern Nevada.

Obama is headed for Denver, where he will face Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney in their first debate.

The president spent his time here at the Westin hotel at Lake Las Vegas preparing for the debate. He chose Nevada because of its importance as a swing state in next month's election.

Obama's stay was the longest of any sitting president and extended his record of 15 stops in the Silver State.
