One dead in accident on State Route 160

One person is dead after an accident on State Route 160 near mile marker 15 tonight.

Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Joseph Fackrell said the person was driving a Mazda Miata when the 7 p.m. accident happened.

What caused the accident is unclear. The roadway is closed while troopers investigate the scene.
