Palin in Henderson

Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is scheduled to make her first campaign visit to Southern Nevada today.

Doors open at 11 a.m. for Palin's rally at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway.

The event is free and open to the public, but free tickets are required. Tickets can be picked up at the event or reserved online at nevada.johnmccain.com.

Before the Henderson event, Palin is expected to appear in Reno. Doors open at 7 a.m. for that event, at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

Palin's first visit to Nevada since the Alaska governor was picked as the running mate of John McCain was last month, when she campaigned in Carson City. McCain has not visited Nevada since early August.
