The passenger who survived a go-kart crash in which the driver was killed in northwest Arizona remained in critical condition Saturday at University Medical Center.

Nathan Ojeda, 27, of Bullhead City was flown to UMC after the Thursday crash in Fort Mohave.

Mohave County Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Trish Carter said the go-kart that was traveling south on Lynn Drive failed to obey a stop sign at the intersection with Valencia Road and was struck by a Jeep Cherokee that was traveling west on Valencia. The accident was reported at 6:48 p.m.

Carter said the go-kart driver, Clinton Wilson, 27, of Fort Mohave, died after he was flown to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
