Pedestrian struck, killed by car

A pedestrian was killed Thursday after he was struck by a car while crossing the street in an unmarked crosswalk, Las Vegas police said Friday.

The unidentified man was struck by a Mazda 626 as he tried to cross Sahara Avenue, just west of Bruce Street, from the north to the south about 8 p.m., police said.

He was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
