Police say at least one person dead in murder-suicide try

Las Vegas police were investigating the death of at least one person in the northeast valley in what an official described Tuesday night as a possible murder-suicide attempt.

Homicide Lt. Lew Roberts said at 9:40 p.m. that detectives were at a residence at the 2400 block of North Walnut Road, near Carey Avenue and Lamb Boulevard. He said one person was confirmed dead and another was taken to University Medical Center. The condition of the survivor was not released.

Police didn't release additional information late Tuesday.
