Police seek robber who shot armored truck employee

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Police are searching for a man who shot an armored truck employee during a robbery near the entrance of a Walmart in Glendale, Ariz., on Sunday.

Police Sgt. Brent Coombs said the armored truck employee was dropping off and picking up items at the store when he was attacked by a man.

The man shot the armored truck employee in the leg and the hand and fled in a small red sport utility vehicle. Authorities believe he took a black bag from the employee.

The employee was taken to a local hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
